“This beautiful story is the only Patronus I’ll ever need.”

….I may or may not have teared up in the bathroom when I read that.

Got back from Scotland yesterday and it was SO beautiful.

I honestly love it there so much, and would totally study abroad there if I had the chance.

I even tried Haggis! It honestly was pretty good…. but I just feel weird about eating it, so I don’t think it’ll be happening again. lol

Friday we hung around Edinburgh and went on a really long walking tour.  Our guide was so funny and amazing though, so it was worth it.  We stayed in a hostel that used to be a church and it was kind of really cool (even if the receptionist bad talked Harry Potter…like what?).

Saturday we took a bus tour up through the Highlands and to Loch Ness!!!! Sadly, so sightings of Nessie, but the drive up was so amazing… I honestly have never seen anything so beautiful.  And we really lucked out because it was sunny and not too cold.

Yesterday we took another bus tour of the Highlands, but it was less cool this time because we didn’t even go through the mountains….LAME.  But I tried some whiskey and man that stuff is foul.

Welp, I am now really sick and need to go to Boots tomorrow to see if I have an ear infection and ugh. Probably missing the football game tomorrow too. :(

Roadhouse Bar!

Monday and Wednesday nights are ROCKAOKE YEAH!

Get there before 10pm and there’s no charge to get in.  Really fun live band, and a short walk from covent garden tube station.

There are loads of locals, but a good mix of some US people and tourists as well.  There is a bit of an American feel to the bar (if you couldn’t tell by the name…) but it’s not super touristy either!

Drinks aren’t terribly expensive.

Really fun, and the karaoke with the live band is free! If you win you get a £100 tab as well, so practice practice!

I sang Valerie a few weeks ago and unless you sing really loud you can’t really hear yourself, but even though I was super pitchy, it was a lot of fun to get up there.  another thing crossed off my bucket list!

Last week I went just to watch, not to sing, and these funny guys who were kinda guido-ish started dancing with us and like swinging us around and cha-cha-ing and I was dying, they were so great.  There are a bunch of characters that go there alright.

Need to book a flight?

Traveling throughout Europe is pretty easy and quick.  It’s like traveling from state to state in the States but with the added difficulty of going through customs.

Check Skyscanner for cheap flights.  Ryanair and EasyJet are the cheapest!

Only drawback is you can only have one carry on with no free checked bags, meaning your purse HAS to fit into your carry on, and it can’t be too big either otherwise you’ll have to pay to check it. (The seats aren’t that comfortable either, but for a two hour flight or less, it’s worth it.  Ryanair is more comfy than EasyJet!)

Yellow lights before green lights should mean get ready to go, but to London drivers, they mean DRIVE.
