Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you- it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you… Hopefully, you leave something good behind.
Got back from Scotland yesterday and it was SO beautiful.
I honestly love it there so much, and would totally study abroad there if I had the chance.
I even tried Haggis! It honestly was pretty good…. but I just feel weird about eating it, so I don’t think it’ll be happening again. lol
Friday we hung around Edinburgh and went on a really long walking tour. Our guide was so funny and amazing though, so it was worth it. We stayed in a hostel that used to be a church and it was kind of really cool (even if the receptionist bad talked Harry Potter…like what?).
Saturday we took a bus tour up through the Highlands and to Loch Ness!!!! Sadly, so sightings of Nessie, but the drive up was so amazing… I honestly have never seen anything so beautiful. And we really lucked out because it was sunny and not too cold.
Yesterday we took another bus tour of the Highlands, but it was less cool this time because we didn’t even go through the mountains….LAME. But I tried some whiskey and man that stuff is foul.
Welp, I am now really sick and need to go to Boots tomorrow to see if I have an ear infection and ugh. Probably missing the football game tomorrow too. :(
